The following recipes was submitted to
us by someone who visited our site. Each recipe was submitted
to us on the condition that the recipe is the original creation
of the person submitting the recipe.
SPIRALS with Broccoli
1 lb Fiber Wise Spirals
Salt
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
Hot red pepper flakes to taste (up to 1 tsp)
2 bunches broccoli, trimmed
2/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
Cut broccoli florets into 1
x 1/2 inch pieces. Peel and cut broccoli stems into 1/2 inch
pieces.
Prepare pasta per package instructions
and drain well.
Heat olive oil over medium heat
in a skillet that is large enough to hold the pasta.
Add garlic and cook until golden.
Stir in the pepper flakes.
Add the broccoli and 1/2 teaspoon
of salt. Stir to coat broccoli evenly with mixture.
Add 1/2 cup of pasta cooking
water and simmer for about five minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add pasta to skillet, toss and
heat for an additional minute or two.
Taste and correct for salt.
Top with cheese and serve immediately.
